Research Guidelines for Master Gardeners

Here are the most commonly used WSU resources for answering gardening questions.

These are books and websites that we may use to be in compliance with WSU’s policies for giving pest management advice to clients. There is a lot of really good information here! Browse through to familiarize yourself with it! (Source:  https://mastergardener.wsu.edu/resources/for-master-gardeners/  , bottom of page)

See if you can find some of these on Amazon or Thriftbooks for a reasonable price. They really are the most useful printed material we’ve found.

When you signed up to be in the training program, you signed a paper stating that you would abide by WSU’s pest management recommendation policies. This is a MUST-READ for trainees and a refresher for veteran MGs, too. It tells us what we can and cannot to. Please take a couple of minutes and look it over—only one page.

This is a really interesting case I was recently working on at https://ask.extension.org/ What are some questions you would ask the client? Hint—keep and open mind, think outside the box, but don’t over-think it!  Please get back to me with your questions.  I will give you the answers to them that the client provided.  If you care to offer a possible solution, feel free to do so.
